Best courts in Arizona ranked in order of popularity are (click the yellow to go to the actual website):
#1 - Victory Lane Sports Park, Glendale, AZ (pictured above) - MAP - 8 Very nice courts with a bar, food, and music on site. (You must try the Grilled Chicken Caesar Sandwich, Mmmmm!) They recently bought a deep tiller so the sand is softer than before, and at our request they added the leftover AVP sand making these the nicest volleyball courts in Arizona and earning the honors of the "Official Home Courts of the AZBVA." They add 4 more courts and they will own the town.
#2 - Scottsdale Ranch Park, Scottsdale, AZ - "The Ranch" - MAP - 6 Sand Volleyball Courts in Scottsdale, currently draws the best players and has the best pick-up vball as well as sand leagues. Best 2's pick up action is found here Wednesday nights starting around 6:30 PM and Saturday Mornings around 10 AM. Sunday's draw a less competitive crowd and features some 'Family Fours' action.
#3 - Gene Autry Park, Mesa, AZ - MAP - Probably the nicest beach volleyball courts in AZ, but you better call your friends and make sure you have enough players meeting here for a game, because usually no one is here unfortunately.
#4 - Horizon Park, Scottsdale, AZ - MAP - 4 nice sand courts, walled in so volleyball chasing is at a minimum. But sand is hard-packed and not many people play here. Tilling the sand once in awhile would help a lot.
#5 - Rio Vista (Thunderbird) Park, Peoria, AZ - MAP - For all the Westsiders, 101 Fwy and Thunderbird on the West side, 3 really nice courts with tables, shade, sprinklers, all the fixings, with one major drawback. Whoever built them used ropes for lines, hit them wrong and you could hurt yourself. We train here on some weekends but rarely see organized matches here.

Arizona Beach Volleyball Leagues
 | Scottsdale Ranch Park. Currently the reigning champ of league action. If you are looking for the most players on a non-tournament day, be it league or pick up play, this is the place. "The Ranch" as it is known has great Open and Novice level 4's leagues on Monday nights and 2's Men's and Co-ed leagues on Tuesday nights. The Ranch is also the place to find 2's pick up action, Wednesday nights starting around 6:30 PM and Saturday Mornings around 9 AM. |
